1. Escort medium: if the Escort medium in the hose has the chemical property of acid or alkaline, which is prone to electrochemical reaction, the material of each part of the hose shall be reasonably selected according to the corrosion resistance parameter table of the hose material. Thermal shrinkage, external vibration and impact, alternating working conditions, short and regular monitoring and maintenance, and inadequate management of metal hoses will also affect the service life of hoses.
2. Water hammer phenomenon, which is a pressure transient process caused by sudden change of medium activity state and sudden change of fluid momentum in the pipe, is a special oscillation phenomenon caused by unstable activities in the pipe. When the rapidly rising and falling pressure wave is transmitted through the pipeline, it will produce a noise similar to that generated when the pipeline is hit with a hammer, which is also called water hammer. When the water hammer attacks, the impact on the elbow section of the pipeline becomes more intense. Therefore, the user should follow the requirements of the operating procedures, such as slowly heating, steadily pressurizing, reducing the change of instantaneous flow and pressure, and preventing water hammer.
3. Corrosion. The metal hose is generally made of stainless steel. The active anions in the medium are easy to damage the stainless steel passive film. Small corrosion holes appear on the base metal, which is the active center generated by pitting corrosion. The external potential of the metal inside the etch hole is negative, and the external potential of the metal outside the etch hole is positive. Therefore, an active passive micro galvanic corrosion cell is formed inside and outside the etch hole. The cell has a structure of large cathode and small anode area ratio. The anode current density is large, and the etch hole deepens quickly. The strength of the corroded metal hose is reduced, and it is easy to cause failure when receiving internal pressure and tensile load. Therefore, metal hoses used in corrosive environments should be targeted to select information, increase protective measures and improve corrosion resistance.
4. Temperature: For metal hoses used under high temperature, their rated working pressure must be reduced according to the correction factor of working pressure and temperature under high temperature to ensure safe operation.
5. Fatigue failure. Under the dynamic working state, the metal hose is often damaged by fatigue cracks under the cyclic load. Such destruction is normal failure. In order to prolong the service life, it is necessary to ensure that the hose is designed and selected correctly, the device is accurate, and no additional stress such as twisting occurs to the hose.
